Focal expands Utopia portfolio with the addition of new studio monitors

Focal unveils a new range of studio monitors: Utopia Main, designed for audio professionals, specifically for producers, sound engineers, and musicians. In development since 2017 at Focal R&D, Utopia Main 112 (3-way) and Utopia Main 212 (3.5-way) have been designed for recording, mixing and mastering.

Focal’s goal was to deliver the most advanced tools for main monitoring, tailored to meet the demands of the most sophisticated production environments. Each of the monitor’s drivers (midrange, tweeter, subwoofer) integrates patented technologies, rigorously tested, and endorsed by audio professionals.

The amplification design combines Class H technology with current mode control. By regulating the current instead of the voltage, the system directly manages the force on the driver membrane, eliminating unwanted artifacts. This ensures the most natural and transparent amplification for the drivers.
