Tony Carreira’s Lisbon concerts lit with Ayrton

In March 2025, the MEO Arena in Lisbon hosted two concerts by Portuguese singer and musician Tony Carreira. Ayrton fixtures - specifically Veloce Profile, Kyalami, and Cobra models - played a crucial role in creating the atmosphere for the event.

Lighting designer Ramiro Martins used a total of 76 Veloce Profiles, 32 Kyalamis, and 22 Cobras, with the Veloce Profile and Cobra fixtures rigged on the upper trusses, and the Kyalami fixtures placed on the stage floor and at the sides. The fixtures were supplied by Ayrton distributor NAN Audiovisuais.

“The Kyalami and Cobra create an extraordinary visual effect, like an endless light-sabre”, says Martins, adding that he also appreciates the colour mixing capabilities of the Ayrton fixtures. “The intermediate pastel tones enabled the creation of unique atmospheres. The correction filters helped achieve specific shades while maintaining brightness.”
