Crest Audio adds two coaxials to ClimateGuard series

Crest Audio has added two new coaxial enclosures to its ClimateGuard series speakers. The CG105CX features a 5’’ coax woofer with a 1’’ voice coil, and the CG108CX features an 8’’ coax woofer with a 1.75’’ voice coil.

Made in the U.S., the ClimateGuard series features weather resistant enclosures to ensure performance even in the most demanding climates. With their IP56 rating, the ClimateGuard series composite speakers are designed to protect from dust and particle ingression while capable of withstanding intense heat and extreme sun exposure, as well as driving rain and water jets from any direction.

Crafted from composite material, the ClimateGuard series enclosures have stability even in wet conditions and remain impervious to contamination, while keeping the resonant properties of wood. The Black Hammerhead polyurea finish adds an extra layer of protection, similar to high-grade truck-bed liner, sealing the composite cabinet panels to ensure they are waterproof. On the front, a stainless-steel moisture-repellent grille, equipped with a hydrophobic water-repellent cloth, ensures dual-layer performance. The back features a gland nut entry into the water-sealed input cup plate, ensuring no ingression of fluid or dust.

The CG105CX is a 2-way coaxial passive speaker delivering 150 watts of continuous power with 600 watts peak. Providing both Bi-Amp and Passive Modes, the CG105CX uses a Beyma 5CX200Fe 5’’ coax woofer with 1’’ voice coil compression driver to deliver a frequency response of 96 Hz-18 kHz and a nominal radiation pattern of 70° conical. Dimensions are 8.13’’ x 8.13’’ x 10’’ weighing in at 12 lbs.

The CG108CX is a 2-way coaxial passive speaker delivering 300 watts of continuous power with 1200 watts peak. Providing both Bi-Amp and Passive Modes, the CG108CX uses a Beyma 8CX300Fe 8’’ coax woofer with 1.75’’ voice coil compression driver to deliver a frequency response of 75 Hz-18 kHz and a nominal radiation pattern of 70° conical. Dimensions are 12.44’’ x 12.44’’ x 12’’ with a weight of 21 lbs.
