Dali reveals new loudspeaker family
Dali (Danish Audiophile Loudspeaker Industries) announces the launch of the Kupid, a compact loudspeaker that delivers Hi-Fi sound in a stylish finish. “Kupid is about simplicity and sound”, says Krestian Pedersen, Dali Head of Product Management. “It’s for anyone who wants a real Hi-Fi experience without any fuss.”
Kupid is designed and engineered in-house in Denmark, following the same sonic philosophies behind Dali’s flagship products like the Kore and Epikore. Kupid shares their musicality but delivers it in a smaller, more approachable package, addressing modern living spaces. Its footprint is small enough to fit almost anywhere (even just one inch from a wall). Textured magnetic grilles further enhance its versatility and Scandinavian aesthetic.
Kupid launches with five finishes: Black Ash, Walnut, Caramel White, Golden Yellow, and Chilly Blue, each featuring colour-matched bass/midrange cones and grilles. It is built with advanced Dali technologies not seen before at this price point. The proprietary 4.5-inch paper and wood fibre bass/midrange driver, ferrite magnet system and low-loss rubber surround ensure fast, tight bass and a dynamic midrange.
A custom-developed 26 mm ultra-light soft dome tweeter delivers detailed, extended highs with smooth dispersion and minimal distortion. The tweeter baffle design is tuned for seamless integration with the midrange driver, ensuring a natural and cohesive soundstage. Kupid’s “dual flare” bass reflex port is precisely time-aligned to optimise airflow and minimise unwanted resonances, resulting in low distortion and deep bass.
Kupid is amplifier-optimised, presenting a consistent impedance of over 4 ohms to ensure smooth performance across a wide range of amplifiers, including budget-friendly Hi-Fi amplifiers and all-in-one amplifer and streamer systems. Whether part of a traditional stereo setup or a minimalist desktop set-up, Kupid is at home in many listening and living scenarios. Wall brackets are also included in the package alongside rubber feet.
Technical specifications include a frequency range from 63-25,000 Hz ±3 dB, a sensitivity of 83 dB @ 1 m for 2.83 V, a maximum SPL of 103 dB, a crossover frequency of 2,100 Hz (2-way crossover principle), and a recommended amplifier power of 40-120 W. Recommended distance from rear wall: 2.5-60 cm (1-23.6 in). Dimensions (H x W x D): 237 x 140 x 195 mm (9.3 x 5.5 x 7.6 in). Weight (including grille): 2.9 kg (6.4 lb).
Dali Kupid will be available from October 1, 2025.
