Lightware introduces new Matrix Management Unit for TPN ecosystem

Lightware’s TPN ecosystem offers AV integrators a deterministic SDVoE-based solution for routing 4K60 video, USB, control and network signals across multi-room and campus environments. With the debut of the new Matrix Management Unit (MMU), the entire platform gains centralized endpoint discovery, configuration, monitoring and routing management, transforming distributed AV networks into a coherent, manageable virtual matrix without relying on third-party tools or switch configuration utilities.

The Taurus TPN product family is designed for consistent, repeatable behaviour across installations large and small. Performance-critical environments rely on SDVoE’s uncompressed 4K60 4:4:4 transport, near-zero latency and deterministic switching. At the same time, enterprise IT teams benefit from standards-based security features including VLAN segmentation, 802.1X authentication, TLS management traffic and Syslog integration for event logging. The result is an AV-over-IP architecture that fits naturally into IT infrastructures while maintaining the performance integrity required by mission-critical AV systems.

At the center of the ecosystem is the new TPN-MMU, available in twenty capacity options. This new model supports twenty endpoints, enabling deployments that range from individual meeting rooms to campus-scale topologies. The MMU consolidates all setup and operational workflows, endpoint discovery, configuration, routing and diagnostics into a single Lightware interface. This eliminates the need for third-party SDVoE managers, switch command-line tools or multiple vendor-specific applications.

The TPN ecosystem’s network-based USB routing enables cameras, microphones, touch panels and other peripherals to be dynamically assigned to any host computer across the network. Combined with the UCX-TPN endpoints’ USB-C connectivity for video, USB, Ethernet and power, integrators can deliver consistent BYOM workflows and multi-camera setups without relying on external converters or USB extension hardware.

Universities and training centers can distribute 4K60 content, USB peripherals and control signals between lecture halls, collaboration rooms and overflow spaces with consistent performance. The MMU’s centralized management ensures predictable routing, making multi-building deployments scalable and maintainable without additional management software.

Operators depend on deterministic latency for real-time monitoring and KVM workflows. Taurus TPN provides uncompressed video, synchronized multi-display output and stable USB routing capabilities that compressed AV-over-IP systems typically cannot provide. The platform’s IT-compliant security features also align with regulated sectors such as utilities, defense, transportation and industrial automation.

High-end meeting spaces require reliable multi-camera routing, flexible BYOM and straightforward user interaction. UCX-TPN endpoints support single-cable USB-C connectivity, while the 10G SDVoE backbone ensures instantaneous switching and consistent room behaviour. The MMU reduces integration complexity by centralizing all configuration tasks within the Lightware ecosystem alone.

Training centers, medical labs and conference venues often require rapid reconfiguration. TPN’s flexible routing and USB device reassignment allow AV resources to be redistributed as room layouts change without reprogramming switches or deploying external tools.

Large organizations gain a scalable, unified AV fabric that supports video, USB, control and in-room workflows on a single 10G network. The MMU’s single-pane management simplifies support and expansion across multiple facilities.

The world premiere of the TPN-MMU will take place at ISE 2026 in Barcelona (February 3-6), where integrators can explore live demonstrations, review real workflows and engage directly with Lightware’s engineering teams at booth 2P500 (Hall 2).
