Updated firmware brings AVB Milan connectivity and DM5 series integration to Yamaha’s Rivage PM digital mixing ecosystem
Yamaha Corporation has announced Firmware V7.20 for its Rivage PM digital mixing systems, an update which introduces support for the new DM5 series digital mixing consoles, RUio utility I/O units, DME5 and DME3 signal processors, as well as the newly-announced AuviTran AV-HY64-AVB interface card.
Giving access to AVB Milan networking, enhanced visibility and remote control across an increasingly diverse range of connected devices, the new firmware allows the building of larger, more versatile Rivage PM-based systems across live sound, installed audio and immersive production environments.
A key highlight of Rivage PM V7.20 is support for the new AuviTran AV-HY64-AVB interface card, launched at InfoComm 2026. Designed specifically for Yamaha Rivage PM systems, the card enables direct integration with AVB Milan networks, providing an additional networking option for live sound, fixed installation, public address and immersive applications.
The AV-HY64-AVB card supports up to 64 input and 64 output channels at 96 kHz, delivering AVB Milan redundancy support and low latency audio transport with stable clock synchronization. It creates a direct digital signal path from the console to amplifiers or immersive audio processors, while reducing conversion stages throughout the signal chain.
Rivage PM V7.20 also expands support for a range of newly-introduced Yamaha products, allowing users to build more flexible and scalable systems, while maintaining centralized monitoring and control directly from Rivage PM consoles. The Dante Supported Device list now includes the new DM5 and DM5 Compact digital mixing consoles, the RUio1608SB-D, RUio0804-D, RUio16FLX-D utility I/O units and the latest DME5 and DME3 signal processors. These additions allow Rivage PM systems to be integrated into a greater variety of audio production environments.
Similarly, the DM5 series can be incorporated into larger Rivage PM systems, extending the common Yamaha workflow across productions of different scales. Seamless compatibility with the RUio utility I/O lineup expands system flexibility and control, with the RUio1608SB-D providing on stage connectivity, the RUio0804-D delivering compact remote I/O expansion, as well as the RUio16FLX-D’s analogue, digital and AES connectivity for amplifier racks and distributed audio.
Support for the DME5 and DME3 signal processors further strengthens integration between Yamaha mixing and audio processing platforms, allowing users to monitor and control an increasingly sophisticated range of system components from a single console.
