ELC announces change in its management structure

ELC Lighting’s long-serving International Sales Manager Silvio Cibien will step away from direct involvement with the business, in order to begin retirement. The news was revealed to international sales partners during a special dinner event in Barcelona at the recent ISE exhibition. Distributors of the company’s ELC and Green-Go brands from around the world gathered at the event.

Cibien’s replacement is new recruit Melvin Burger, who brings years of experience as a Green-Go reseller in The Netherlands, plus a track record in building business relationships. “It is a real honour to follow in Silvio’s footsteps and to build on everything he, together with the Anima Network team, has achieved over the years”, comments Burger.

ELC Lighting was founded by Joost van Eenbergen, and from its inception, Cibien - through his company Anima Network - was instrumental in establishing the international sales presence for both ELC and Green-Go brands. From March 1, 2026, ELC Lighting acquires all the activities of Anima Network; for customers worldwide, the transition will be seamless.

“Silvio has always been central to our story”, says van Eenbergen. “Without his knowledge and experience we simply could not have been the same company today. His contribution has been immeasurable, and I am forever grateful to him, as a colleague and friend. I wish him all the very best for the next - perhaps more relaxed! - stage of his life.” The company will continue to draw on Cibien’s experience, as he remains a member of the board.

“It has been an honour to work alongside Joost to grow this fantastic company, from a garage shop to what it is now: a professional company, with a great team of engineers and production crew”, states Cibien. “Now, I’m delighted to say, we have finally removed the little side wheels of the bike, and ELC is now able to ride on its own.”
