Chauvet releases new Colorado Solo Edge series for concerts and touring

Developed specifically for the touring market, Chauvet Professional’s new Colorado Sole Edge footlights series - consisting of two models: the Solo Edge 1 and Solo Edge 3 - has a 2.5-inch (6.4 cm) profile to make it unnoticeable on stage. The IP65 rated fixture’s rugged construction makes it suited to handle the rigors of the road.

The Colorado Solo Edge is a RGBwWL LED footlight featuring a single source lens engineered to output theatrically-even and smooth light, ranging from crisp whites through to rich deep colors. Built-in RGB marker lights eliminate the need for using tape for cues and safety. Mounting options for floor, set pieces and risers are also included.

The 0.5-meter Colorado Solo Edge 1 and 1-meter long Colorado Solo Edge 3 link together cleanly, so they can extend over a full stage with no gaps or messy cabling. The fixtures are also suited for lighting runways and catwalks. They also sit harmoniously alongside the Colorado Solo Bars, and they come with a stealth filter, enabling them to disappear and remain out of sight when not in use.

Unlike bulky theatre footlights that have been modified for the road, the new purpose-built Colorado Edge is designed to stay out of the way and add more versatility and creative options for designers, while aiming to make life easier for installers on tour.
