iZotope releases RX 12

iZotope has unveiled RX 12, the next evolution of its audio editing and restoration suite, a 50+ tool ecosystem designed to fix flaws and protect performances. From movies and music tracks to home recordings, RX offers a collection of plugins and editing tools to rescue any audio.

New and improved feaures in RX 12 include:

Scene Rebalance: Intelligently separates film and TV scenes into distinct dialogue, music, and effects tracks, allowing for detailed editing and re-leveling in seconds.

Stems View: Split mixed audio into track-based stems via Scene Rebalance, Music Rebalance, or Dialogue Isolate. Apply the full RX toolkit to individual stems, and bring it all back together with easy exports.

De-bleed (rebuilt): Clean up headphone bleed or use machine learning to instantly isolate competing instruments - now without needing a reference track. With the new real-time plugin, users can achieve cleaner, more impactful mixes in their DAW, faster than ever.

Music Rebalance (enhanced): Now available as a standalone real-time plugin, improved neural nets deliver cleaner source separation for vocals, bass, and percussion. Adjust individual mix elements instantly to reanimate an existing mix, prep for a remix, or create vocal stems.

Dialogue Isolate (enhanced): New neural nets deliver improved real-time and offline de-noising and de-reverb for dialogue and vocals. Enables users to rescue recordings and clean up speech for TV, movies, and podcasts, or vocals for an album.

Trim Silence: Automatically detect and delete regions of silence in long audio files.

Improved workflow and design: Smoother, updated interface with a larger spectrogram, a new module search, and a resizable history panel, among a host of other improvements.

RX 12 comes in three tiers:

RX 12 Advanced: Complete 50+ tool suite for post-production.

RX 12 Standard: Packaged with an intelligent suite of modules and plugins to rescue takes, rebalance mixes, and deliver music for streaming.

RX 12 Elements: A collection of six essential plugins, centered around the intelligent Repair Assistant. Addresses content creators and musicians looking to clean up sound and fix audio flaws.
