MSolutions expands MS-DP-Alt Series with HDMI-enabled USB-C extension solution at InfoComm

MSolutions will debut the latest evolution of its MS-DP-Alt Series at InfoComm 2026 in Las Vegas (June 17-19). Exhibiting with U.S. distributor Stirling Communications at Booth C7685, MSolutions will showcase the new MS-DPA-HCP, a single-cable USB-C extension solution that adds a switchable HDMI input for expanded source flexibility in meeting rooms, classrooms, auditoriums and collaborative spaces.

Building on the success of the MS-DPA-P and MS-DPA-CP platforms, the new MS-DPA-HCP continues MSolutions’ strategy of simplifying modern AV connectivity through streamlined USB-C transport over category cable infrastructure. The series extends DisplayPort Alternate Mode (DP Alt Mode) signals over a single category cable, enabling transport of 4K video, USB data, and power through one streamlined connection.

The MS-DPA-HCP introduces automatic switching between permanent in-room HDMI sources and guest USB-C laptop connections, solving a common challenge in modern BYOD meeting environments. In a typical conference room installation, a permanently installed PC can remain connected through HDMI while guest presenters automatically switch to their laptop connection when plugging into the USB-C interface.

Like previous MS-DPA Series devices, the MS-DPA-HCP delivers plug-and-play extension of 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 video and USB data without drivers or software applications. The system also supports up to 60 W of laptop charging from the Host Unit.

The MS-DPA Series has also evolved to support the growing adoption of USB-C connectivity among leading collaboration platforms and soundbar manufacturers. Solutions from Cisco, Lenovo, Poly, Neat and others increasingly rely on USB-C infrastructure for audio, video and camera integration, making long-distance USB-C extension increasingly important for room designers and integrators.

In addition to its expanding feature set, the MS-DPA-HCP maintains the compact industrial design introduced with the second-generation MS-DPA-CP. Its slim-profile enclosure aims to simplify installation behind displays, beneath tables and within modern AV furniture. The complete MS-DPA Series, including the MS-DPA-P, MS-DPA-CP and new MS-DPA-HCP, supports both Mac and Windows systems for broad compatibility across enterprise and education deployments.
