MultiDyne introduces new fiber transport platform
MultiDyne Video & Fiber Optic Systems launches its VersaFrame VF-9100 fiber transport platform. New enhancements include a hardware controller with Restful API support for advanced third-party integration, a redesigned chassis with improved card guides for easier field servicing, enhanced rack-mount options for flypack deployments, and more powerful internal power supplies.
The new power supplies also add support for new transport modules across audio, serial data, GPIO and genlock/timecode, expanding the VF-9100’s role into a comprehensive signal transport platform. The VF-9100 transports up to two AES audio pairs or four channels of analog audio over fiber per-VFC card, with support for CWDM multiplexing that allows audio to travel alongside video, data and other signals over a shared fiber infrastructure. The platform’s integrated 1GbE and 10GbE connectivity also supports IP audio workflows, including Dante and AES67 transport.
“Audio is becoming increasingly important within converged AV and broadcast environments, and our customers need flexible ways to move, monitor and manage those signals across modern infrastructures”, says Jesse Foster, Director of Strategic Accounts and Products for MultiDyne. “The VF-9100 extends our proven transport capabilities beyond video, supporting analog, AES and IP-based audio workflows.”
