MXL introduces new USB conference room microphone

MXL Microphones presents its new AC-360-A USB conference room microphone. Re-designed for today’s collaborative environments, the upgraded AC-360-A combines sleek design, flexible deployment and an analog daisy-chain architecture, aiming to simplify multi-microphone installations.

The AC-360-A is a compact, all-metal USB microphone engineered specifically for professional meeting spaces. Fully compatible with conferencing platforms like Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Google Meet, it provides a plug-and-play solution for seamless integration into any workflow.

“Whether you’re outfitting a small huddle room or a large conference space, this microphone ensures consistent, intelligible audio without the complexity typically associated with multi-microphone systems”, says Marc Bilderbach, Product Marketing Specialist for MXL Microphones.

At the core of the AC-360-A’s performance are twelve internal microphone capsules arranged across four quadrants, delivering true 360-degree coverage. The system captures clear speech up to 5-feet in any direction, providing a 25-foot diameter coverage area. This allows many meeting spaces to be covered with a single microphone.

For larger or more complex spaces, the AC-360-A now can be expanded using 3.5 mm TRS analog daisy-chaining, allowing multiple units to be connected in sequence. Audio is routed from the most distant microphone through the chain to the computer, where a single USB connection at the final unit manages the digital output.

Built with durability in mind, the AC-360-A features a reinforced all-metal construction suited for high-traffic conference rooms and shared workspaces. Designed for fast, flexible installation in real-world environments, removable rubber feet and included mounting pads allow for quick placement on tables or other surfaces.

An optional AC360CM ceiling mount adapter provides a solution for permanent overhead installations. Powered entirely via USB, the AC-360-A eliminates external power supplies.
