Palace Cinemas installs Christie RGBH hybrid laser projection at Pentridge

Palace Cinemas Pentridge, a 15-screen multiplex located in the historic area of Coburg in Melbourne, Australia, has deployed Christie’s CineLife+ Series RGBH cinema projector, the CP4420m-RGBH, in the complex’s largest auditorium, which offers a 12-metre-wide (39-foot) silver screen, Dolby Atmos surround sound, and 220 luxury recliner seats.

The projector is housed in a discreet ceiling enclosure to preserve the venue’s architectural integrity. This marks the first deployment of Christie’s RGBH cinema projector in Australasia, building on Palace Cinemas’ existing investment in Christie cinema technologies across its circuit, including RGB pure laser projection with Real Laser illumination and RBe projectors powered by Phazer technology. The project was delivered by Hoyts Cinema Technology Group.
