Palmer Digital Group introduces standalone digital order confirmation board for QSR drive-thru lanes

Palmer Digital Group (PDG), a supplier and installer of indoor and outdoor digital kiosks, drive-thru digital menu boards and canopy systems, has announced the immediate availability of its new PDG 22OCBSM Order Confirmation Enclosure, an innovative standalone solution that brings digital order confirmation capabilities to quick-service restaurant (QSR) drive-thru lanes.

Designed and manufactured at PDG’s Aurora, Illinois, headquarters, the new enclosure integrates an LG 22XE1J-B high-bright 22-inch outdoor display with a speaker, microphone and camera into a compact standalone structure. The system allows customers to view their orders in real time without requiring a complete digital menu board replacement.

Unlike traditional speaker posts that rely solely on audio communication, the PDG 22OCBSM adds an integrated visual confirmation display directly at the ordering position, eliminating the need for customers to look elsewhere to verify their orders. The enclosure also creates opportunities for restaurants to promote limited-time offers, seasonal menu items and other messaging while customers place their orders.

As with all PDG products, the 22OCBSM is engineered and manufactured entirely in-house. The enclosure is fabricated from 14-gauge galvanized steel, finished with a primer and durable powder-coated exterior available in customer-selected colors for seamless integration into existing restaurant branding.

For installation, the standalone enclosure is mounted on its own foundation adjacent to the primary menu board, with power and content extended from the existing digital menu board through conduit connections. This design minimizes trenching requirements while allowing the new order confirmation display to share content infrastructure with the primary outdoor digital menu board. Customers may choose installation by PDG’s in-house field services team or qualified third-party installers.
