Alfatron debuts 3GSDI-HD SDI to HDMI converter

Alfatron Electronics introduces the 3GSDI-HD, a compact SDI (Serial Digital Interface) to HDMI converter enabling seamless conversion to HDMI for connection to monitors, displays, and projectors without signal loss or latency. This solution is suitable for use in professional broadcast, AV, and video production applications.

Designed to support high-speed signal transmission up to 2.970 Gbit/s, the 3GSDI-HD ensures crystal-clear video performance for 720p, 1080i, and 1080p image resolutions. Built to support SMPTE 425M, 424M, 292M, and 259M-C standards, this converter integrates into professional SDI workflows.

With its compact form factor, the 3GSDI-HD is suitable for broadcast racks, live events, control rooms, AV integration, and portable production systems. The unit’s integrated SDI loop output also enables users to extend or distribute SDI signals to additional displays or equipment.

“The 3GSDI-HD facilitates a variety of signal conversions commonly encountered in today’s application environments, and with its small footprint, the unit can be placed just about anywhere”, says Tiaan Hoogstad, Marketing Director at Alfatron Electronics.

“Equally notable, Alfatron Electronics offers Dante input and output adapters, as well as a USB to Dante I/O adapter to enable the unit to seamlessly integrate into most any production environment”, he adds. “And for still greater flexibility, we also offer a digital audio converter designed to convert coaxial or Toslink digital audio input to analog L/R and 3.5 mm audio output.”
