Amaran expands beyond creator lighting with its first audio product

Amaran, pioneer of lighting tools for creators, announces the Amaran Mic, a wireless desktop microphone that brings the brand into audio for creators worldwide. Designed for livestreaming, podcasting, and everyday video creation from a desk, the Amaran Mic aims to make studio-quality sound easier to capture in spaces where creators already work and create.

Built-in AI noise reduction helps filter out everyday distractions to keep voices clear, while wired or wireless recording gives creators greater freedom over how and where they set up. The Amaran Mic marks a major expansion of the Amaran ecosystem, advancing the brand beyond lighting to support more of the content creation workflow.

Following Amaran’s introduction of purpose-built desktop lighting with the Verge series, the Amaran Mic brings the same priorities to another essential part of how creators work. It serves as a companion to existing Amaran desktop setups while creating a new entry point for streamers, podcasters, gamers, educators, remote professionals, and everyday creators who may not yet be familiar with the brand.

At the core of the Amaran Mic is a 30 mm dynamic capsule. Its supercardioid pickup pattern puts voices front and center, focusing on the sound directly in front of the microphone while dialing back sound from the sides. With an 86 dB signal-to-noise ratio, support for sound pressure levels up to 130 dB, and a built-in automatic limiter, the Amaran Mic aims to keep audio clean and controlled when volume spikes.

Noise reduction runs directly inside the Amaran Mic. Creators can choose Original Sound for natural, unprocessed capture; Standard Noise Reduction for light cleanup of steady background sounds such as fan noise and AC hum; or AI Noise Reduction for deeper cleanup of unpredictable distractions such as keyboard clicks and traffic noise. Together, six layers of noise reduction across acoustic suppression, physical protection, and built-in processing help minimize unwanted noise before, during, and after audio capture.

For plug-and-play setup - whether wired or wireless - users can connect directly to a compatible device with a USB-C cable, or plug in the pre-paired USB-C receiver to go wireless in seconds. Stable 2.4 GHz wireless transmission reaches up to 50 m (164 ft) in unobstructed environments. The Amaran Mic provides up to sixty hours of battery life.

It also allows for key adjustments directly on the microphone instead of requiring a software detour mid-session. Creators can adjust mic and monitor volume, mute the microphone, check battery status, and monitor audio in real time. For deeper customization beyond the on-mic essentials, the Amaran Desktop App allows creators to tailor their tone with EQ presets and custom curves, and further refine their sound with Vocal Enhancement, Noise Gate, Limiter, and more.

The Amaran Mic comes ready to record on its removable desktop stand. For creators who want more flexible positioning and less equipment visible on the desk or in frame, the Low-Profile Boom Arm provides an additional mounting option and will begin shipping in Q4 2026. Both mounting configurations will be available in charcoal and white to complement a range of desktop setups.
