“The Wizard of Oz at Sphere” unveils new and expanded 4D effects and starts ticket sale

Sphere Entertainment Co. has announced that “The Wizard of Oz at Sphere” will debut a series of new and expanded 4D effects beginning September 25, 2026. Tickets for “The Wizard of Oz at Sphere” are now on sale.

Since opening in August 2025, Sphere has brought the classic to life by using advanced proprietary technologies. The new and expanded 4D effects debuting in “The Wizard of Oz at Sphere” include animatronic Winged Monkeys, themed scents, “Glinda Glitter”, pyrotechnic fireworks, and scented apples.

“At Sphere, we’re constantly exploring new ways to push the boundaries of immersive storytelling and create new experiences for our audiences”, states Jennifer Koester, Sphere President and Chief Operating Officer. “The upcoming enhancements to ‘The Wizard of Oz at Sphere’ take some of the most memorable moments from the experience to the next level to immerse and transport audiences deeper into the world of Oz.”

“The Wizard of Oz at Sphere” is presented by Sphere Studios in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery, Google and Magnopus. It has multiple showtimes daily, with tickets now on sale through the beginning of 2027 at www.thesphere.com.
